A little of our Summer

What a FUN summer it has been so far!  Both Peyton and Jaxson are like two little fish this summer, just swimming every opportunity they get.

 IMG_2683 Peyton took swimming lessons a couple of weeks ago and he’s been practicing ever since!  He loves wearing his goggles and is practicing opening his eyes under water without them.

This picture of Jaxson (aka Scubba Steve) says it all!

IMG_2686 As he jumped of the steps of the pool for me to catch him we were working all day on him holding his breath.  Obviously he was still practicing holding his breath!

We’ve also been to a couple of local parades this summer.

Each of the boys also got a new pair of shoes.  Peyton picked out these really cool water shoes that look like sneakers and Jaxson FINALLY found a pair of boots that he could fit into!  It’s been so hot, but we can’t get these boots off him.

The best part of the parade was the little carnival afterwards, which of course meant cotton candy for the ride home!

I swear they both remind me of Jim Carey in the Grinch Who Stole Christmas with all the “fur” on their hands!

 

And just for a little more sweetness – the boys can fight like cats and dogs, but there are sweet little moments that make it all worth while (even if they are sleeping)

    Oh Paula...that made me tear up! Such sweetness between brothers! How awesome that you captured that moment. Love the swimming pictures, and Scuba Steve just looks fantastic! Yay for the boys becoming such great swimmers!

    Those last two pictures . . . SO sweet!! I am cracking up over the Scuba Steve picture though! :) I can just imagine how much fun they have been having with swimming this summer! Haha - that does look a bit like the fur on the Grinch's hands!

    So precious! I love when the kids so such affection for each other. Just today Nate was telling Audrey that he loved her. Warms a mother's heart. Glad the kids are having fun in the pool. I need to get Nate into swim lesson. I'm just so afraid.

    So happy the boys are enjoying their summer! I want to jump into the cotton candy pic and eat some! I love cotton candy! And that pic of the boys sleeping touching hands is too precious for words! Xoxo

    Sweetest pictures ever. That final one should go in a frame. They are the cutest. Peyton is the best older brother. I am truly in awe of him. You and Jason have done such a great job raising him. You should be proud.
