Christmas Day 2010. What a BUSY day, but I absolute LOVE having Santa visit. Christmas is my favorite time of year and I love our traditions of making cookies, wrapping presents and going to Christmas Eve Church service with my boys.
This year I did a great job getting my shopping done early, however, I didn’t wrap a thing until Christmas Eve! Not one single present………..So Jaxson and I spent most of the afternoon doing just that. Thank God he was able to help me. LOL
I don’t know how Santa managed to get all the presents in his sleigh because our boys got a lot of loot this year!
Peyton’s gifts…………
Jaxson’s gifts………..
I’ve never really had a Christmas where gifts were opened at 3am or 5am. My grandparents lived right across the street from me growing up so as kids we always had to wait for them to come over before we could go downstairs and see what Santa brought us and I don’t remember there ever being a year where they came over before 7am. Sometimes it was a bit nerve wracking to have to wait for them, but I love looking back at all those years of pictures of me, my sisters and my Pop-Pop posing on the stairs as he carried me down to see my presents.
This year, again, I was the first one up in our house. It works like this on all days when we have things to do, both boys want to sleep in! Once everyone was downstairs it was presents and wrapping paper all over the place!!
Peyton’s decided to play lacrosse this year instead of baseball so he got his first lacrosse stick. Jaxson got a new tractor (one of many for the day. This kid is nuts over tractors and cars!)
We also got a little snow on Christmas day and during the week after. Although it wasn’t really enough to go sledding or make a snowman the boys both had a great time being out in the mix of it.
Hopefully we’re gonna get that blizzard soon ! I know lots of you don’t like snow, but I hate having the trek through the sludge and mess to get to work so if it’s gonna snow I want it to snow buckets so I can stay home and enjoy it with my boys!
Merry Christmas everyone! Hope you all enjoyed your Holidays!!
Cute pictures! It looks like you all had a wonderful Christmas! Love your little wrapping buddy! :) We had that blue snowman paper this year too.
ReplyDeleteI think Christmas traditions provide so many great memories! How fun that your grandparents were there every year to watch you and your sisters open your gifts!
That's exciting that Peyton is going to play lacrosse this year! I hope he has a great time with it!
Adorable picture of Peyton and Jaxson enjoying the snow! I'm bummed that we haven't gotten a big snowstorm this winter too. We've had a lot of snow in Feb in the past though, so who knows.
Happy New Year!
I hate the snow, but if it has to snow I too like to just stay indoors. Thankfully we have not gotten the storms this year that have shut us down. YAY! Love all the pictures from Christmas, but the pic of Peyton and Jax all bundled up is just precious! Looks like Santa was very good to the boys this year!
ReplyDeleteLoved the pictures! It looks like it was a wonderful Christmas!
